fall, please visit Arizona soon! :) By Shey

It's still warm here. Warm to me is 100 degrees. It's not hot.... which may seem odd to most of you, but 85 degrees with 85% humidity is HOT! 100 degrees with almost 0% humidity is warm. ;) I do not miss the humidity whatsoever. I do miss my parents, though.

Speaking of which, they are visiting next month! Just a few more weeks. Yay! Angelina has a fall break from Oct. 6-10th, so they will be here during that time. Still trying to figure out exactly what we will do while they are here. A visit to the zoo and the botanical gardens has been requested by Angelina, so those are on the agenda. Along with several restaurants. LOL. Maybe a day in Sedona... I am very sure we will have lots of things to do.

I can't wait for Fall!!! I LOVE Fall! It's beginning to get cooler here, which is nice. I survived my first summer, but will be so glad when the heat is gone. This is something I feel every year as the summer comes to a close. I want fall. No matter where I lived, I couldn't wait for summer to be over.

Fall brings with it so many fun holidays, good smells, lots of baking, great weather, & many fun memories!!! I went yesterday and got my girl's their costumes! Zoe is going to be a skunk as planned, and Angelina decided against being a princess this year [VERY happy about that] and she decided that she wanted to be a vampire. Nothing scary!! :) She wants me to dress up with her. I am thinking about it. She wants mommy to be a vampire too. I may happily oblige. ;) I haven't dressed up in years!!! Can't even remember the last time. LOL. Mike may be a chicken. ha ha ha!!! I do really like Halloween. We don't look at it as an evil holiday that many people do. It's just for fun. Not to mention, I get to pass out candy to the little kiddos this year, and I am super excited. It is definitely one of my favorite things... aside from getting my own kids dressed up. I love to see the different things all the kids are dressed up as. :) Mike is thinking about decorating the house. He gets all into this holiday... sort of like I am with Christmas. Although, I think I am a bit more fanatical about Christmas than he is about Halloween. ;)

Fall brings with it excitement. :) Busy or not. I still love it. Although, I haven't been that busy yet. Don't think I will, either. I need to sign Angelina up for ballet and gymnastics, and sign Zoe up for Gymboree. Then I think I will be pretty busy, but nothing crazy. I have been a homebody lately. I am finding that the older I get the more I just want to hang out at home, and just do whatever I want here. Seriously... I usually only go out on the weekends, and that is when Mike is home. LOL! I am reading the Twilight series for the 3rd time. Yes, I am weird, but I don't care. I am reading the last book in the series for the 3rd time [just finished the first 3... again]. It's quite obvious that I LOVE this series! Aside from reading the same books over and over, I have added some new straps to my Etsy shop. Check them out right here. I also ordered some new fabric last week, which I just got, and I will be making some new straps with some of it, and other projects with some of it too.

OK, this has been long enough. See you next time! Not sure how long it will be... not feeling the need to blog too much... although, I should add more pictures soon, for my parent's sake. ;)

xoxo,

Shealynn

Today I Am Thankful For:

- Angelina having art class after school and bringing home some beautiful artwork.

- Zoe starting to speak in full on sentences, and answering my questions, and understanding me. :) She has been doing this for a bit, but today she answered me when I asked her where her markers were, and she said, "right here, mama" and picked up her color wonder marker box. Impressive!

- Slowly moving in. It's nice this way. Able to move things over, get them put away, and then go get more. Not having to feel rushed with 500 boxes everywhere. :)

- Happily realizing that we will be all moved in soon!! I can't wait until there is nothing more to do than worry about paint colors or add ons or kitchen renovations. :D

- My husband.

Shannon's Gravatar So glad your parents are coming for a visit! I'm sure you miss them a lot. I sure wish mine lived closer. Love the different fabrics--very cool. I haven't decided what costume to get for Jacob, or if I should dress him up at all. I doubt we will have a good selection of costumes in Bishop, but I may venture out one of these days to see if I can find something cute. Did your girls dress up when they were his age?

Shealynn Benner's Gravatar Hey Shan, Yes, we dressed our girls up every year. Angelina was Jacob's age when Halloween rolled around. She wore a little cat outfit. Zoe didn't dress up her first year because she was in the hospital, but last year she was a princess. :)
